Past experiences are addressed not to dwell on them, but to understand how they continue shaping the way you relate to one another in the present.

In therapy, your relationship is viewed as a dynamic system. Each partner’s reactions influence the other, often in ways that are difficult to recognize while conflict is unfolding.


Over time, these patterns can begin to feel automatic: one partner pursues, the other shuts down; one criticizes, the other withdraws. Therapy helps slow these moments down so the cycle becomes visible — creating space for clarity, understanding, and different responses.
